For me, it was pretty obvious, I was born in a town, a very small mining town in specific whereby there are not much of happening there. When I say nothing much happening, I really mean it, IT IS TOTALLY NOTHING GOING ON! The most we could get back home was some UNKNOWN performer invited to perform during some deity's big day. Even till that level, people there would just stand there and do nothing, not even clapping their hands, not to mention the sing-along part. So I totally grew up from a place where absolutely NOTHING is going on. But when I move to the city to further my education, I manage to get myself some entertainment, clubs, lounge and so on, but still it is not BIG enough. And in Kuching (which is the current city I am staying now) is still not happening enough, the most we get in so many years time was only Beyond (Hong Kong's Band) concert, which happen last year.
And I really do realize that how the image of a Sarawakian still like to West-Malaysian. We are still the uncivilized headhunters which stays on top of the tree, well, to be honest, I am pretty proud of it, at least we still got plenty of trees to stay on...Getting back to the track, I really try my very best to attend all sorts of events and looking forward to bring all these excitement back here, by working out an event company in the near future, so that, my fellow Sarawakian could really enjoy all the excitements that we had missed out in so many years. So that, all the coming generations could tell their West-Malaysian friends that, "Hey! We had this gigantic-happening concert ON TOP OF THE TREE in the wood last week!"
Something is happening, but with dreams, SOMETHING-ENORMOUS is happening!
