It is 2016

Last post, honestly speaking, is really God knows how long was that ago, I even feel bad for myself, well, there might not be people following around in this blog, but still...the update time interval is too damn long. I say sorry to myself.

Well, it is already 2016, 15 passed way to fast for me even to realize that it is already a new year. Well, ups and downs, happening and not so happening, everything seems to be running. So here is for the first ever post for 2016!

Grand Opening of Everrise @ Vivacity

Of course I still stick to the same team, of course I am still with Sarawak Bloggers, fun people, why not? Hence, we were invited to cover their opening at Vivacity.

It was named, Market Place by Everrise, why? This huge area of 30,000 sqft actually blend in good thing well, all into one place. Everything you need for your family, all under one roof, why all the hassle to go so many places when you can get all at one place? Even better, apart from our local products, they have wide range of goods from Japan, Korea, the West, imported goods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, premium yogurt, gourmet chocolates, fine pasta, imported drinks, wine and so much more!

Opening from 10am to 10pm, now you worry less about your fresh food from market, now you can get it after your office hour, simple! *especially for lazy dude like me*

Dato' Mayor Chan were to the one to officially open the Market Place, accompany by all board of directors of Everrise.

Hey look! Dong Dong Chiang!

We were being taken for a tour around in the Market Place, there were many section that catch my attention, although I do not do much of my grocery shopping because I am single and I eat out 7 days a week, but I really gotta give credit to their display artist, my gosh look at their creativity!

And right after that it is something that I never experienced before, something that I would cover on the next post, it is called "Hog & Wild". Short - good food, good beer, good environment!

In conjunction with their opening and also Chinese New Year, they have plenty of promotion on going, not only the one in Vivacity, but all of their other Everrise, so you can actually look for them at www.facebook.com/myeverrise!

The Original Macam Macam Ada

It was not a very good day, was packed with plenty of stuff and work loads, but the not so happy part was, I met an accident, long story cut short, dented door, need money to fix and hence not so...great a day. But no kidding, sometimes people do say...Happiness' initial is food. *alright, I might have just made that up, but for me that is kind of true, lol*

Getting from a fellow blogger information, 12 years, this is The Original Macam Macam Ada Mega Buffet's 12th years. That is a grown up child already. For me, i gotta say, memang you'll see the diversity in culture, in food, in people if you are at this buffet.

I see Chinese eating together with Muslims friends, and other wise.

I see all sorts of food being served by Grand Magherita, from Chinese food, Japanese food, Middle East food, or course the delicious local delicacies!

And yes, friends, I am already like an hour late when I arrived at the dinner, an hour after our Muslim's friends break their fast due to the not-so-happy incident, but look at the crowd photo I snapped, people are still there, having their food, having chit chat with their companies and having a real good time I must say!

Hence, I put my cameras down, settle down a little bit, apologize to all my fellow bloggers about the very late arrival and cerita accident bermula.

*NOTE: I am always the panglipulara no matter where, -story teller*

A story which I am not gonna tell in here, really, if u see me, let me know you wanna listen to the story, I will verbally tell you, its more story telling like that.

So, it is more to food time instead of talking, turning to Tia, i asked, what's highly recommended?

Without any doubt, she go straight with PENANG CHAR KUEH TIAW!

I am a big fan of Char Kueh Tiao to be honest, you know the a little bit hangus taste, not bitter, but it is a little over fried by the cook. The one shown in the picture is pretty much like how I describe it, but the extra thing that I was so glad when I took a bite, was the spicy sambal used to fried Kueh Tiao. Uhh! That taste, definitely makes you wanna go back for another round for sure, I did!

This one is pretty much like lok lok that we normally eat around town, but there is one thing that is differentiate between them and the rest of the other lok loks, yes, the sauce! The sauce with the lok lok that is being served at Grand Magherita is spicy, sweet and a little salty, you might be thinking the famous lok lok near Kuching High School taste almost the same, but I am telling you no! It is not the same, it has its own unique taste! And man, the Ngo Hiang (spring roll) is crispy and remind me of my late uncle, he used to make what I called the best ngo hiang I will ever taste!

Because I was waiting for the sotong kangkung, I went over and grabbed the omelette, not a big fan of oyster cook this way, or maybe the Penang way, I have little comment about the omelette.

And the sotong kangkung that got me waiting for, cause the aunty that is behind the station went to grab more sotong and also kangkung, then you know what does that mean, too good! Everyone want some, that's why...habis! I was good for me because of the ingredient were fresh!

Up to the sotong kangkung, I started to feel a little bloated, maybe due to my mood, I slow down a little in the food consumption, but I told myself, this is an opportunity that I obtain, I must not let it to waste, hence I got up and went to the local delicacies station, and I grab a few piles and piled it onto my plate and get back to the table. There are fried vegetables, chicken, fried rice and beef on my plate (photo under) I would say, quite a normal one that we had everyday, but one stands out a lot, that is the beef! Tender and juicy, simple as that. It does not have plenty complicated ingredients to prepare the dish, but the juice that has been extracted out after cooking, I wish my mom find out the ingredient about this. Lol

Right after the plate with that juicy beef, I got extremely bloated and really started to feel not so well, really does not know what went wrong. But photos are the extremely nice, sweet and candylicious cakes that fellow bloggers had gathered for the table, everyone went back with high-sugar level, I am quite sure, but everyone was darn happy with the cakes!

And the Japanese food! Garner took this and also wanted it to share it with the table, I sat there, with saliva drooling, wanted to have a piece but all I know was the damn bloated tummy, not a very right moment..

The Original Macam Macam Ada Ramadhan buffet is here for the entire month, you can actually go down and have a taste with all the great foods yourselves  at adult RM 100 and kid at RM 50 only! Pretty worth it I tell you, really!

The number is there to be dialed, and we would really like to thank Grand Magherita for the delicious food! WoHoo! and here is the Group Photo!

Bulan Puasa Sudah Tiba

Its the fasting month for the Muslims. When it comes to the Holy Fasting month, for Muslims, its a month where you take a deep look into what you have done over the entire year since the last Ramadan, a month where they give more than taking, having those less fortunate in mind and also those in need.

What about those non-Muslims?

It is the berbuka time that we are all been waiting for. *no offense, but that's rather the truth*
