Taiwan. Part I.

The trip was about, roughly a month ago, due to the crazy hectic timing of Chinese New Year, hence there is insufficient time to put things up, so here are some photos and things you might wanna know.

Well, that is not the first photo that I took, nope, that is roughly what our trip is all about, as in, you know...most of the journey. Here is the case, we stay right in the middle of the night street market of Shilin where, all the locals and also foreigners will gather here to get 2 things.

1) Cheap and good stuffs
2) Good food

It is pretty much like our Sunday Market here, its just a lot bigger and its cold when I was there, yes, winter.

Well, for me, talking from the view of gaining 2.5 extra kilograms within 7 days, Taiwan is all about good food, damn you cannot get enough.

Free samples of some well cooked pork, they had a stall just outside their new shop and the stall is giving you this free samples.

Here, we call them lok-lok, not there...but things are pretty similar, its just that, they got a plenty more pork choices.

Ah Chung's Vermicelli, I suppose Ah Chung is the guy who created this, this small bowl cost about Rm2.50 and it's cook with pork intestines in a very gravy-ish soup. I am no fan of intestines and also that type of soup but this...EmEm!

This is similar with the picture before, also something like lok-lok but behold my friend! this is a bigger shop!

Owh, this is one of my favourite! Small sausage wrapped in big sausage, the small sausage is, well again pork and the outer part, which is the big sausage is actually made from Glutinous rice which is Nasi Pulut. And owh my Good LORD, the taste is so damn fine when it is mix with some garlics and slices of cucumber, it is like burger but hey! it's Chinese made.

and some more those kinda things...but the one below is nothing ordinary.

What we had during our second last night in Taiwan, was this, one of the finest that we had ever dine in, not the food...but the face, the set that you had just laid your eyes on, watch your saliva, don't drip your keyboard, the whole dinner cost us Rm80 per person, some might say it is kinda expensive but for many of us, Rm80 for those kinda food and these...well, it's definitely WORTH IT!

There is a BBQ pit, set right in the middle of your table, in a private tent, on a hill, you don't and won't drop a single sweat, because it is 8 Celsius outside, it is colder than an air conditioned room.

Outside your tent, is the eye catching, jaw dropping and camera flashing Taipei city night view, ain't that just amazing?

Well, now you tell me that Rm80 is not well spent. There are actually a lot more about food, but I would not fit every single picture here, or else before you drool to death, I would have to suffer that first.

What 10 things I would say about Taiwan food?

1) Food there is not so expensive but I would not say it is extremely cheap as well, just nice.
2) No worries about hygiene, it is quite clean even though there are street stalls.
3) Long Q means good food, short to no Q at a stall, still is an OK food.
4) You need to try whatever that you think is disgusting, like Tauhu Busuk, it's simply WOW.
5) You can try the samples but walk off when you don't want to buy, don't get stuck!
6) Food outlets always offer things for FREE, for example their milk tea, which is also just WOW.
7) Don't buy their fruits unless you really need to eat some to survive, it's kinda expensive, for me*
8) Buy food with price displayed if not, ask them before you purchase, or else they chop!
9) Watch your diet, too much oily food!
10) One day you can simply spend Rm50 per person, just a stroll at the night market, simply too GOOD!

Ends of PART ONE.
