So in a short time, our very own Malaysian production, directed by Mr Chiu who many remember him with his breakthrough movie, "The Journey", make another history. Well, this blog post, I ain't gonna talk about what is the movie about since everyone can read it everywhere else. So here is the 5 things I learnt after watching to movie:
1. Malaysia Boleh!
Literally. Many of us now, gazed at television watching football only dreaming about having our players out there making names. Little of us know that, we used to have players like that, players that were offered to train in England. Players that can beat Korea, players that are feared by many teams. Malaysia really BOLEH! What happen now, that's another story, move on
2. Dreams? Reality?
Dreams only can be made reality when we chase, work hard ad passionate about it. Or else, It only stays as merely dream. Many characters in the movie really highlight this 'statement' really well, they were being doubt at, laughed at and questioned at but they stand strong with their own belief and work hard for it, and when finally, their hard work pays off. *listen to ARENA CAHAYA at the end, you'll understand better*
3. Racism
Since day one, Malaysia were made by all kind of races, we live together, we eat together, we stay strong as one. We succeed as a team, we stays as a team and we can always achieve as a team. OlaBola highlighted this, I'll say, fantastically well.
Well, pretty simple yea? It is quite straight forward, it is just us human making many things in life, complicated. I would like to thank ASTRO for the free screening of the movie. Credit all the photos goes to OlaBola.
and yes, for those that you have yet to watch the movie, I do not want to make this sound too commercialized *I am not paid to advertise*, but for me, the movie really touch my soul. So go and watch.
