I am sure quite a number of people out there have tried movie marathon at cinema due to some boring days. Some finds it alright, some finds it too tiring. Since there were plenty of movies now on screen and I never try movie marathon, so I went..and watched this two movies
And I am gonna roughly talk about this movie, *Spoiler alert*
I started with Deadpool due to the timing. The movie has been going around the market and movie goers has made plenty of comments and I am sure that there are also plenty of people are waiting for the movie to show. Some are Deadpool's freak fans, reading the comic maybe since day one, know Deadpool in and out. Some are just Marvel's movie fans, any movie from Marvel's production is a must watch and I am pretty sure there are like me, no idea what, I just want to watch movie.
Plot - normal
The movie started like any other superhero movies, Superhero met some issue - someone solve that issue for him making him Super - Superhero defeating villain that might have superpower as well - Superhero wins, ends of movie. Yea, pretty much that. But of course with sense of humor that everyone knows Mr Deadpool has, *dirty* comedy is of course in it. So camera technique and how the Superhero interact with viewers are pretty decent I would say.
But ask me again whether this is the best superhero movie that I have came across, the doubt stop me from answering that question straight. I would not say it is the best, maybe because it has been too highly rated at a point that I am expecting quite a lot from the movie, which...sadly, not delivered.
*I even have a thought during mid-movie, if this budget were given to OlaBola's director to produce similar movie, it might come out better (but again we know it's not going to happen)*
Cast - Nay
I somehow have the same thinking when I watch the first Hitman movie. Somehow there is something missing with the lead actor. Ryan without doubt is a very talented actor, but he plays a hitman that fell in love with a hooker, that ends up f*ck by cancer and became superhero after that. Personal opinion thinks that this character should be played by someone with not only dirty sense of humor, but dark humor as well. But then again, if you ask me who, sorry but I have no idea who. So yaa...someone else, not Ryan.
Involvement of X-Men
Alright here is the twist, there are two characters that fought along Deadpool during the movie, but even in the movie itself, Deadpool mentioned that as if the Studio rans out of money to hire one more X-Men *well, that really sounds kinda true*
credit to: Empire
Alright, so those going, please stay until the very end, there is extra at the back!
That is pretty much my comment for Deadpool, decent movie..would ask people to watch? Yes, do go and watch, I would say it's worth it.
Then this:
Before I start, two words: UTTERLY BULLSH*T!
Unlike Deadpool, I roughly know about the Journey to the West's story here and there, the characters, what do they do, what is their mission, who do they bump into during their journey, here and there, this and that. So this movie is like REVIVING my CHILDHOOD *but then...sigh*
Characters I really have no comment, somehow I felt the monk should be played by someone else, Aaron playing Monkey Kind, well, he is one senior freaking talented actor, I gotta give that to him, but the entire movie is missing something.
I somehow think that...the BACKGROUND SOUND EFFECT & MUSIC ruins the entire thing. I can say that the plot is pretty much the same, stories are pretty similar, but just one small part, where they met the White Bone Demon (a thousand years demon) and fought her throughout.
But again back to the Sound and Music, it just does not have the effect that it should create for viewers, you know the feeling of anxious, fear, curious when you are watching a scene which does not only created by just visual, audio makes a huge difference as well
Well, it is really UTTERLY BULLSH*T towards the end of the movie, especially you know that there are producing sequel, I swear, not for me!
Alright now, drop me a comment if you have any say about this two movies! :)
Here is for the guys, the female version of Deadpool, and I cannot do the same for Monkey King, you know...he is promoted to Deity now.
